1. Included Revisions
- Number of Free Revisions: Each commissioned VRChat package includes up to [2-3] free revision rounds (or whichever number suits your workflow). A “revision round” typically covers a batch of requested changes provided at one time.
- Scope of Revisions: Included revisions must be limited to minor adjustments such as small color tweaks, slight alterations to shape or size, or basic texture changes. Anything beyond this scope may be considered a major revision (see below).
2. Major Revisions and Additional Costs
- Definition of Major Revisions: Significant changes that deviate considerably from the original design brief or go beyond minor tweaks—such as redesigning large portions of the avatar’s mesh, adding entirely new features not in the initial agreement, or re-rigging limbs—are considered major revisions.
- Extra Charges: If you request a major revision, an additional fee will be charged. The cost will be determined based on the complexity and estimated time required for the changes.
- Approval of Fees: Before proceeding with a major revision, you will be provided a cost estimate. Work will only begin on the revision once payment terms are agreed upon.
3. Revision Timeline
- Feedback Window: Each revision round must be submitted within [3-5 business days] of receiving the latest progress update. Delays in providing feedback may extend the overall turnaround time.
- Revision Turnaround: Minor revisions are typically completed within [2-4 business days] following the feedback. Major revisions may extend this timeline depending on complexity and scheduling.
4. Communication and Documentation
- Clear Instructions: To ensure smooth revisions, please consolidate your revision requests in a clear, organized list. The more specific you are (e.g., “Please lighten the hair color by 10%” or “Make the jacket collar taller”), the quicker and more accurately changes can be made.
- Progress Updates: You will receive screenshots, short videos, or in-VR test sessions (if applicable) showing the updated avatar after each revision round. Additional or more frequent updates can be discussed, but may require extra fees if they extend beyond typical scope.
5. Final Approval
- Confirmation of Completion: Once you confirm that all requested changes have been addressed to your satisfaction, the final files will be delivered (e.g., Unity package, Blender files, or whichever formats were specified in your agreement).
- Post-Delivery Revisions: Any further changes requested after final approval and delivery will be treated as a new commission or charged at the hourly revision rate.
6. Exceptions and Limitations
- Technical Restrictions: If your requested revision would cause technical issues with rigging, clipping, or performance in VRChat, those requests may be adjusted or declined for stability reasons. Your avatar’s performance and usability are our top priority.
- Design Consistency: Revisions that conflict with VRChat’s Terms of Service, or significantly alter the agreed-upon style (e.g., converting a semi-realistic avatar into a fully stylized character), may require a new project quote rather than a revision under this policy.
- Refunds: Revision fees are non-refundable once work has commenced on requested changes. Refer to the separate Payment & Refund Policy for more details on what is and isn’t refundable.
Policy Acknowledgement
By commissioning our VRChat creation service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms stated in this Revision Policy. If you have any questions, please discuss them prior to initiating the commission.
Tip: Customize the placeholders (e.g., number of free revisions, timeframes, fees) to fit your specific process. You can also integrate additional clauses about client responsibilities, communication channels (email, Discord, etc.), and any special circumstances that commonly arise in your projects.
